In June 2020, Topical Cream launched a grant exclusively supporting Black womxn and gender-non-conforming artists impacted by COVID-19. The fifteen-minute free application was open through Friday, June 19th. The grant was awarded to six artists, who each received an unrestricted grant of $1,000.

A special advisory board chose the artists from our community. The advisory board included Legacy Russell (Associate Curator of Exhibitions, The Studio Museum in Harlem), artist Theresa Chromati, and artist Sondra Perry.
