On Monday, September 28, 2026, Topical Cream hosted an alumni reunion for the Warman School at our new office on East Broadway in Manhattan. Former students from various cohorts of the anti-school, which shuns institutional conventions such as grades and credits, gathered for refreshments and readings while wearing Warman School Family Reunion merchandise.

It was the community’s first in-person reunion, and many alums were meeting one another in real life for the first time. True to Warman School form, activities were not planned, but emerged spontaneously. Attendees took turns at a microphone, passing it around for impromptu readings and “venting sessions,” a Black Student Union was formed, and a “begging competition” took place for the last remaining Warman School reunion baseball cap. As connections were made, Topical Cream Executive Director Lyndsy Welgos photographed the group on her Hasselblad camera while attendees captured the event on Polaroid.
